School- Age Childcare (K-6th)

The Fremont/Newark Family YMCA School Age program features activities that are developmentally and academically balanced to enrich and enhance your child’s school day.
Your child and family and the community we serve are at the heart of our program for school-age children. 
 
Operation Hours:  7 a.m. - 6 p.m. (See branch for Kinder AM/PM care availability)

Monday through Friday during the FUSD school calendar year

Most centers are open during school holidays. However, parents must sign up six weeks in advance. This allows us to make staffing and field trip arrangements. A sign-up sheet for your site, or the next closest site offering care, will be placed at each center. Changes may be made if necessary at the Program Director’s discretion. Children signed up for partial week care can ONLY utilize their usual attendance schedule.

·          Fall Break                           November 22-24, 2010

·          Winter Break                      December 20- 31, 2010

·          Spring Break                     April 25-29, 2011

·          Days after school             June 17, 2011            

 

*Blacow, Grimmer and Durham will be combined at the Durham site.

Mission Valley and Chadbourne will be combined at the Chadbourne site.

James Leitch, Warm Springs and Weibel will be combined at the Weibel site.

Child Care is not available on the following days:

Monthly Fees

There are two fee options: Year Round or School Year. (See registration contract or parent

handbook for specific information. The fees for the 2010-2011 school year are:

School Year:  (First day of school - Last day of school; see site closures)

Morning Only:                             $251

Kindergarten Plus:                    $559

Kindergarten:                             $468

Elementary:                                $468

Elementary P.M.:                       $385

 

Year Round: (First day of school - Last day of camp; see site closures)

Kindergarten Plus:                    $653.33

Kindergarten:                             $577.50

Elementary:                                $577.50

Elementary P.M.:                       $508.33

1.     All plans require a current $35 annual membership fee.

2.     A $40 registration fee is charged at registration.

(Both fees are due at time of registration regardless of current membership status.)

                                     

Important registration dates to remember:

February 1, 2011 Priority Registration:  Current participants and their siblings and newly enrolled kindergarteners.

March 1, 2011 Open Registration:  New students and those entering first grade and above not currently enrolled in the YMCA Child Care program.
